Appletree Cottage Antiques & Home

An eclectic mix of old and new items for your home.

About the Shop

My name is Anne Mikolaities and I am a wife and mother of 3. Buying and selling antiques and unique items has always been a passion of mine. I have been an antique dealer for over 18 years in Seacoast NH and southern Maine. With the support of my wonderful family I opened Appletree Cottage in September 2010, in a cute little red house in North Hampton, NH.

Due to the great support of so many shop regulars, in March 2012 I relocated to a new space that more than tripled the size of my old space. The new space allows me to carry more of my unique finds, my latest creations and work of some extremely talented artisans. I love my new space with the wide pine floors and post and beams.

My goal is to make Appletree Cottage one the most unique shops in New England. My style for the shop is an “eclectic mix of old and new”. I try to carry a little of everything but mainly primitives, architectural and some industrial antiques. Actually, what I carry is whatever is unusual and catches my eye.  I love to shop so, I’m always looking for those unique items at good prices.

I also enjoy making all types of interesting and unique items for your home. Lamps have been one of my favorite items to make. I have made lamps out of wooden buoys, old milk strainers, clam baskets, funnels, bird cages, antique carriage wheels and just about any unique architectural piece, shape or form I find. I have a listing of some of the different items I have made on this blog. Most days you can find me in the shop making something.

I love what I do and I love the people I meet! I enjoy my weekly chats with the shop regulars and meeting new friends. I am thrilled the shop has become a gathering place where everyone feels comfortable and welcome.

If you are looking for something specific, let me know, I can find it, or make it!

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Warm regards, Anne
